At Educare we are passionate about what we do and dedicated to delivering quality training assessment services, preparing students to achieve their personal and professional goals through the pursuit of their chosen career paths. Our team of trainers and assessors are passionate about their profession and enjoy working in a vibrant, multicultural and diverse environment.

David Gross

CEO| Managing Director

David is the CEO and owner of Educare College. With over 30 years’ experience as a director and company owner, David offers both expertise and leadership to Educare College as he oversees all business operations and strategic planning and execution.

We’re proud to be a Great Place to Work, and David is a crucial part of that, building, developing and maintaining our first-class workplace culture.

TRAINERS

Carl O’Neill

Training Coordinator – Aged Care and Disability Trainer & Assessor
 

Carl O’Neill has worked in the Aged Care sector for the past 17 years as the Regional Coordinator of Community Care in Western Queensland; this role managed services over 52000km2 for 5 towns managing Community Care, Home Care Packages, NDIS Services and Home Modifications. He has worked closely with LASA (now ACCPA), presenting at many conferences and being the MC for State Conferences in the past.

Currently he is working with Educare College as the Training Coordinator, passing on skills and knowledge to the next, and current, cohort of Aged Care and Disability workers, moving into the industry. Carl is also a member of the Case Management Society of Australia and New Zealand and has worked with the Queensland Ambulance Service as an Emergency First Responder for 23 years.

His qualifications include Cert III and Cert IV in Ageing Support, Assist Clients with Medication, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma of Teaching, Diploma of Community Services Coordination (Case Management), Cert II in Security Operations, First Aid and CPR Instructor, and Support Coordination experience across the Disability Sector.

Cathy O’Brien

Aged Care and Disability  Trainer & Assessor
 

Cathy grew up on the Central Coast of NSW. She has lived in Brunei, Victoria, Northern Territory, NSW and Queensland. In Queensland, she has lived in the Whitsundays and now the Gold Coast.

After spending 30 years in admin for various industries, Cathy had a career change in her 50s and went into Aged Care. She spent six years working in the industry and clocked up more than 8,500hrs. In her 60s, Cathy had another career change. She completed her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and now delivers Certificate III Individual Support and Certificate IV in Ageing & Disability for our International and Domestic students.

Cathy excels at passing her industry knowledge onto others when training!

Martina Uatuku

Aged Care and Disability Trainer & Assessor
 

Martina was born in Czech Republic and worked as a manager of a florist shop in Prague. In her late twenties, she started a new adventure and moved to Australia. Her journey started as an International Student when she studied Certificate III Assistant in Nursing then Certificate IV Business and Administration, followed by Diploma of Endorsed Nurse and finally the Bachelor of Registered Nurse.

Martina found her passion for clients with mental health and dementia and has now around 14 years of industry experience. As she is passionate to learn more, she felt that it’s time for new opportunities in her work carrier. Completing her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, she can continue with her other passion to train students to follow their dreams, achieving their goals, and fulfill their work career.

Martina relates with her students as once she also was an international student in Australia. She is a passionate carer, as well as a trainer that enjoys teaching and guiding her students.

Bek H

Early Childhood Team Leader | Trainer & Assessor
 

Bek was born in Redcliffe and has moved around to many small towns throughout Queensland growing up. Bek started doing her traineeship within a childcare centre and that is when she found her passion for working with and support young children’s growth and development. Bek completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood while completing high school and continued her studies to gain her Diploma while working full time. Bek has worked in the childcare industry for eleven years and has worked through different age groups as well as some supporting lead roles in the centres.

Bek has recently left the childcare industry to begin her new role as an early childhood trainer as she wants to share her passion and knowledge with amazing new educators that are about to enter the industry. Having so much current knowledge Bek will be able to share her insights with the students and can relate to them with the support of her real-life experience.

Zana Keen

Business and Community Services Trainer & Assessor
 

Zana is originally from Serbia/Croatia and has been living in Australia since 1997. She successfully completed a Bachelor of Business with double majors in Marketing and Psychology and now is completing her Master’s in Education.

Zana has over 30 years of experience working in a broad range of industries, initially directing her own health and fitness business, working in sales and marketing, and then moving into the education and training arena. She possesses a multifaceted personality and has even worked as a Pit Supervisor for 5 years with Indy and V8 Super Cars.

Zana is passionate about Vocational Education and Training (VET) having worked in this fast paced and changing industry for the past 15 years. As a professional educator, she possesses a positive communication style and enjoys equipping her students with valuable transportable employability skills
