The Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways provides hands-on, practical learning, designed to help participants gain the skills and knowledge required in a work context or to continue to further study. This course is for individuals looking for a pathway to employment or vocational training. The course is tailored to individual training needs based on training needs analysis. CERTIFICATE II IN Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
Increase your chance of gaining employment by developing entry-level skills that give you the ability to do routine workplace tasks.
Many Australians do not possess the literacy and numeracy skills needed to participate fully in modern life and work. This course will give you the entry-level digital literacy and numeracy skills needed to gain employment or enter into further study.
This course is facilitated by expert teaching staff who understand that each learner is different. They will provide the support and guidance you need to complete your studies. You will develop reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 3. Our highly-experienced team of professionals can work with you to develop a vocational training and employment plan unique to you.
Successful completion of this course will set you on the path to gain employment or embark into further vocational training.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS
MINIMUM AGE
Must be over 15 years old, not attending secondary school.
COURSE INFORMATION
The face to face training component has been designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to become a carer in the community and/or residential setting and to follow an individualised plan which is tailored to provide person-centred support to persons needing this support.

FURTHER STUDY PATHWAYS
On completion of this qualification it may provide students with a vocational pathway to a higher-level certificate of choice – generally at Certificate III level providing entry level into different vocations. Students who complete this qualification may seek entry level employment in a variety of industries such as retail, construction and hospitality as examples.

Funding for this qualification may be available through the Certificate 3 Guarantee, a subsidised training program offered by the QLD Government.
