Why should you consider a career in Aged Care?

The Aged Care system in Australia has been facing huge difficulties in the past few years and the Government has announced measures and incentives to address these needs, focusing on a bigger, better paid, and more skilled workforce. This is a great opportunity for International Students to get qualified and be job-ready for this booming industry!

According to a Productivity Commission report into Caring for Older Australians, more than 3.5 million Australians will use aged care services by 2050 and the industry will need about a million workers to provide appropriate care for our elderly population.

To improve the system, last week the Federal Government announced the commitment of restoring trust in the Aged Care system and allowing Australians to age with dignity and respect by bringing a record package of investment in aged care to over $119 billion over the next four years.
