Learning Disability Courses – career pathway’s advantages for International Students?

Smiling Guy

Choosing a career to follow can be a challenging decision for every student, especially for international students who want to obtain a qualification with high standards and in English study.

Usually, international students are encouraged to do thorough research before enrolling with reputable and cricos registered training organisations. Your chosen study pathways must be able to demonstrate how this will affect your current or future careers. At Educare College, we take into consideration the areas of study that can enhance a student’s skills or capitalise on their past studies in presenting the advantages of studying Certificate in Individual support specialising in disability and or aged care. For already semi-skilled health care professionals such as nurses, for example, we are able to provide study packages which begin with Certificate IV in Aged Care or Certificate IV in Disability and finish with a Diploma in Community Services. This kind of package will allow students such as nurses to obtain practical placement during their period of studies to have hands-on practical experience in the Australian approved facilities.

Taking care of disabled persons and helping them go through all sort of difficulties in their daily routine provides carers with the most satisfying sense of feeling in having the ability to help others. Students who complete their Diploma of Community services are also able to connect with NDIS Agencies that provide community planning services for persons who are either aged or disabled through home care. This type of community caring allows Health professionals specialised in aged care/or disability care to connect and strengthen communities. Working as a community service officer is sure to bring you satisfaction and wonderful memories.

Students can learn through their course how to communicate effectively with disabled persons and how to determine and address their needs. International students be successesful in this area of study in becoming a disability caregiver. At Educare College, our disability course’s curriculum is created to guide and support students to overcome their concerns in these areas.

Our students are assisted with work placement during their study with Educare college and by the time they graduate, they are confident to enter the workforce. Our trainers and team are always available to provide ongoing support to all our students during their time with us.

For students who are in the health sector and who want to make a further difference in caring for persons with disabilities, we invite you to contact us today and enquire about our current promotions for international students in Certificate IV in Ageing Support or Certificate IV in Disability. You may choose to study at our Brisbane or Gold Campus.
